Supramonte of Orgosolo
Here, nature rules
The Supramonte dominates our village.
It doesn’t adapt, it doesn’t tame. It’s rugged, wild, real. It welcomes you only if you have the courage to listen.

Far from the beaten paths, far from imposed rules, here the mountain speaks to those who walk without fear. From Gantinarvu to Punta Solitta, every step is a challenge, every ridge an invitation to go further. To the west, the view opens onto the basalt plateaus of Marghine; to the east, the land grows harsher and wilder, with cliffs and valleys that seem to never end.
Here, where our legs, children of the Supramonte, have covered countless kilometres, you’ll find space for adventure: trekking takes you to the beating heart of these mountains, climbing tests your desire to conquer, the gorges and caves whisper tales of a time with no masters. Gorroppu doesn’t let itself be admired: it puts you to the test.
But it’s not all speed, sweat, and adrenaline. The Supramonte of Orgosolo is also silence, juniper smoke in the air, and sheepfolds that tell stories carved in stone.
It’s the area with the most common pastures in the mountain, because in Orgosolo we’ve always known how to preserve the value of community. Here, time is measured in deep breaths, in horizons that change you from within. You won’t find comfortable trails or shortcuts. You’ll find freedom in a place that doesn’t offer itself, it must be earned. If you’re ready, the Supramonte is waiting. If you’re not… you might as well stay where everything is easy.
