Sa domo de sos Corraines
OVERVIEW
Sa Domo de Sos Corraines, once the private residence of the Corraine family, is now an ethnographic museum spread over several floors, showcasing the daily life and traditions of Orgosolo.
The “Palathu“-style building, dating back to 1907, houses fifteen rooms, eleven of which are open to visitors, arranged over three levels and connected by a central staircase. Each floor features rooms with specific functions: the weaving room, the bread room, the kitchen, and the bedrooms. Every space is furnished with period furniture such as cupboards, tables, fireplaces, and tools that offer an authentic glimpse into local domestic life.
A visit to the museum allows you to discover not only traditional objects, local costumes, and furnishings, but also historical photos and documents belonging to the Corraine family, carefully preserved by the lady of the house.
